Here are some of the most common questions I get about my tattoos, please contact me if you have any additional questions or want more in depth information about the tattoo process

does it hurt

Tattoo pain mainly depends on the area where you're tattooed and your own personal pain tolerance. Places that are bonier and with thinner skin will be more sensitive, as well as places with a lot of nerves. In my experience the most sensitive areas are the ribcage, the spine, the collar bone, the wrists, and the ankles.

how long does it take to heal

The top layer of your tattoo will appear fully healed after about a month, however the bottom most layers of skin can take as long as 4 months to fully heal. Of course healing times will vary depending on your skin and the style of tattoo you get. Typically line work heals faster than shading, and shading heals faster than color.

what if Im a minor

In the state of Utah minors cannot get a tattoo without parental permission. Although I typically will not take minors as clients, if you are over the age of 16 and have parental permission feel free to reach out, as I sometimes am willing to make an exception for tattoos that have been thoroughly discussed with a parent or guardian.

how should I prepare

In preparation for your appointment you will want to make sure you are hydrated and well fed. Do not take alcohol or pain killers prior to your appointment as it may increase bleeding. Make sure to wear clothing that is breathable and allows for easy access to the area being tattooed. Make sure to bring your ID and anything you will need to entertain yourself during the tattoo process If possible please shave the area of your tattoo prior to your appointment.
